The research found that the hour-glass curves from her bust to waist compared to her hip measurements resulted in a figure of 1.560, which is close to the Golden Ratio of beauty of 1.618, that has been considered a standard for beauty for thousands of years. While scientists have previously applied this to facial features, it has never been used before to measure perfection in women’s figures. The study also found that Kim Kardashian came second with a score of 96.3%, while Helen Mirren was third with a score of 95.6%.

According to Bluebella founder Emily Bendell, the brand conducts extensive research to ensure that their lingerie fits perfectly and stays up-to-date with body shape trends.

To determine the corresponding ratio, a formula was used which involved calculating the difference between the measurements of the bust and waist, adding it to the measurement of the hips minus the waist differential figure, and then dividing it by the hip-waist differential figure. The bust/waist figure was calculated by measuring the widest point of the bust and subtracting it from the narrowest point of the waist, then multiplying it with the distance from the highest point of the bust down to the lowest point of the waist, and halving it to get the differential figure. This same process was repeated to calculate the hip/waist differential figure.
