Jennifer Lopez thinks her curvy figure “broke the mould” for other female actresses.
The 46-year-old star – who has played the lead female role in movies such as Maid in Manhattan, The Wedding Planner and Monster-in-Law – is known for her famous derrière, and claims it helped empower other women in the film industry with similar figures.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, J-Lo said: “In traditional movies, that wasn’t the figure unless you were playing, like, the femme fatale or the bombshell or something like that. You couldn’t be the serious lead.
“We kind of broke that mould.”
Jennifer Lopez – whose body inspired Sir Mix-a-Lot song ‘Baby Got Back’ – is also helping her female fans celebrate their curves by designing a new, limited edition tank top for her curvy “squad”.
Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “Lucky to have these curves.
“I designed this limited edition tank top just for my squad – you included. Get yours here before they’re all gone!”
